Warming shows up at the poles first and hardest, and it is measured there more carefully than almost anything else on Earth — sea ice extent at both caps every single day, Greenland and Antarctic ice sheet mass by satellite gravimetry, ocean heat, and the temperature record the whole argument rests on. All of it is public and none of it is legible. Iceleft is the tool that makes it legible: this year's ice against the forty years behind it, the mass the sheets have lost since measurement began, and what that has already added to sea level.
